Which file type should I upload?

Upload the `.txt` file created by WhatsApp chat export. Image, PDF, and screenshot OCR are not part of the first version because they are less accurate and require a different privacy model.

Why are some messages marked as system messages?

Messages without a sender name, such as encryption notices, group membership changes, or export notices, are marked as system messages.

Can I convert group chats?

Yes. Group chats are supported. The converter extracts sender names, message counts, media markers, and date ranges, and you can anonymize sender names before export.
